The teacher and class will watch a video, discuss what they observed, and record their observations in a story web. The class will review fact and opinion, and cross out observations that are fact. Students will write an opinion piece about the video, stating what they think Mom and DM2 were doing and thinking as they placed the stick in the nest and giving reasons why they feel this way. This lesson plan will take 30 minutes.
